Rachel O'Shea was born in London and grew up partly in Asia and then in West Africa. Rachel did some art courses in London including graphic design at Central Saint Martin's Art School. She then went on to do a degree and postgraduate diploma in literature and languages at the University of West London. She worked for many years as a bi-lingual PA, in marketing as well as teaching English as a foreign language both in the UK and in Africa. Since responding to a lifelong call to live in France she has been teaching English to French people and has set up as a freelance painter/illustrator. She works mainly in ink and watercolour. Her artistic inspiration is drawn from a variety of sources including calligraphy, graffiti art, cartoon art and the French expressionist Henri Matisse. Rachel can be contacted at: Contact Click Here
